Wooden Number

A wooden number with a small peg on the bottom, made to stand in a Waldorf birthday ring or on a single stand to mark a child's age. Set the number for the year, light the candles around it, and you have the same warm centerpiece at every birthday. Each number is shaped by hand and finished with linseed oil, smooth and natural, with no paint and nothing to chip. The peg fits the holes in the birthday ring and in the flower, star, and round stands, and you can combine digits to mark any age, a one and a zero for a tenth birthday and on from there. Each number stands about two and a half inches tall. It is sold on its own, so the ring or stand shown alongside it is purchased separately.
