Knitting 101 with Katie | July Fingerless Mitts
Always wanted to learn how to knit but didn’t know where to start? This class is for you! We’ll teach you everything you need to know — from how to hold your needles and yarn, to finishing your very first wearable project: a cozy pair of fingerless mitts. Class dates and times: Friday, July 31st, from 3:30-5 Friday, August 7th, from 3:30-5 In this two-part class, you’ll learn: How to cast on and start your first stitches The knit stitch How to read a simple pattern and keep track of your rows How to bind off and seam your mitts, leaving an opening for your thumb Finishing touches like weaving in ends and blocking You’ll leave with a finished pair of fingerless mitts, a new hobby, and the confidence to take on your next project! Skill Level: No experience needed, total beginners welcome.
