The kiln-dried wood frame utilizes mortise-and-tenon joinery throughout, connecting the carved saddle seat to a hand-forged iron pedestal base with four curved legs extending from a central column. This construction method ensures frame rigidity while the saddle carving creates ergonomic support for extended seating at bar height. The carved saddle seat is upholstered in full-grain leather featuring hand-tooled serape patterns with geometric diamond motifs rendered in rust, tan, and cream, accented by turquoise contrast stitching that follows the contours of the seat profile. The leather wraps continuously around the pommel and cantle with hand-stitched seams at all stress points, and the underside of the saddle seat is reinforced with a canvas backing attached via copper-wire stitching. Each barstool sits atop a four-point pedestal with rubber pads at all four feet to protect flooring while maintaining stable contact across level or slightly uneven surfaces.
