Mugo Pine

Pinus mugo 'Pumilio' Commonly known as Dwarf Mountain Pine, this slow growing evergreen shrub holds its green color through winter so it looks great year-round. The dense mound of finely textured needles works well for smaller gardens, rock gardens and foundation plantings. Plant in full sun with well-drained soil. This shrub is not fussy about the soil it grows in and will become drought tolerant once established. Rarely bothered by deer, this is an easy to grow shrub that does not require a lot of work. No pruning necessary. A good choice for coastal, traditional, and informal gardens, as well as, rock gardens. 'Pumilio' can mature at 3-5' tall and 6-10' wide, but it will only grow a few inches every year. Arrives to you in a 3 gallon-sized pot.
