CMR is a lightweight, self-powered auto-recloser for overhead MV networks, enabling fast installation, operational flexibility and low lifetime costs. CMR BROCHURE Why Compact Modular Recloser (CMR)? When overhead MV networks need fundamental protection and monitoring, the CMR delivers an integrated, self‑powered solution without pole‑mounted control cabinets, control cables or auxiliary supplies. CMR integrates the vacuum interrupter, protection relay, controller and voltage powering in a compact, fully insulated unit. Lightweight design enables fast installation and commissioning, with wireless access and optional SCADA via a Remote Control Unit (RCU). Single‑ and multi‑phase versions (up to 38 kV) suit urban and rural networks. Multi‑phase units offer three operating modes without physical reconfiguration for flexibility and inventory harmonization. Remote Engineering Access (REA) supports secure remote configuration and event log/load profile downloads, with IEEE 1686‑2022 role‑based access control.
