Kaweco Piston Sport AL Fountain Pen – Bordeaux

Sleek, compact, and yet able to take MORE INK! Kaweco's Piston Sport AL has a new member for 2026: the Kaweco Piston Sport AL Fountain Pen in Bordeaux. Kaweco first introduced the Sport as a piston filler back in 1937, under the name #612. For many years after that, the Sport could only be filled with ink cartridges or a converter. In 2024 the authentic piston-filling Sport made its official comeback. After Black and Navy, the AL Piston Sport now comes in a rich, velvety Bordeaux, released just in time for the holidays. A piston mechanism holds more ink, but it's also much more complex. Fitting one into such a compact body is very hard to do, so small piston fillers are rare. The Piston Sport shows Kaweco's craftsmanship at its best! The pen has a matte, deep red anodised aluminium body with gold-coloured accents. A transparent ink window lets you check your ink level at any time. Its weight and diameter are well balanced, so your hand won't tire even during long writing sessions. The gold-plated stainless steel nib, made in Germany, comes in five sizes: Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad and Double Broad. The 190 nib unit is easy to swap out. It comes in Kaweco's classic vintage-style round tin, so it makes a great gift for someone special or a treat for yourself!
