COBI Jagdpanther Sd.Kfz. 173 Set 3145

COBI's Jagdpanther Sd.Kfz. 173 is a 1:35 model of the German tank destroyer on the Panther chassis, built from 764 blocks, with one crew figure. Some were finished after the war, for the British Around 413 Jagdpanthers were built during the war, at MIAG in Braunschweig, MNH in Hanover and MBA in Potsdam. The story did not quite end with the surrender. Hanover lay in the British zone of occupation, and in 1945 a workshop of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers was ordered to complete as many vehicles as possible from the parts still lying in the MNH plant. German workers under British supervision assembled nine Panthers and a dozen Jagdpanthers, which were shipped to England for evaluation. One of each is displayed at The Tank Museum in Bovington, with a brass plate explaining where it came from. In the COBI range Set 3146 is the Panther Ausf.
