Teal and Bottle Green Zari Kattam Kanchi Silk saree

A luminous teal body shifts between blue and green with every fold, laid out in fine zari checks with golden buttas resting within the squares like dew caught in a lattice. Framing it on either side is a deep forest-green retta pettu border — twin bands of zari laid one beside the other in traditional creeper and floral detail, doubled in the measure only the patient looms still keep. The pallu opens into a magnificent dark green expanse, its dense gold brocade unfurling row upon row like carvings on a temple wall. A matching green blouse completes this heirloom.
