Haruno Shawl Kit by eri shimizu

With the arrival of our 18 brand new Appledore shades, we jumped at the chance to have some of them knit up in beautiful new samples! We adore the Lace weight of our Appledore range, and when we saw eri shimizu's Haruno Shawl, we knew we'd found the perfect pattern for it. The Haruno Shawl is worked sideways, i.e. you start at the tip and increase on the right hand side until you've arrived at the final number of stitches. It combines a beautiful geometric lace pattern with twisted and textured stitches inspired by spring flowers and the wind. For a bit of extra pizzazz, add a tassel to the cast on edge! Our sample was kindly knit by Abi, one of our sample knitters, and we used Cornish Gilliflower in Appledore Lace for this sample. We think this shawl would look good in all shades of the rainbow, so we've selected rather a lot of colours for you to choose from for the kit!
