Let Beauty Astonish You

This deer was inspired by our mom, who is obsessed with photography. As we were growing up, she taught us that beauty is everywhere if you only have eyes to see it. And documenting it with a camera helps you notice the magic hiding in the everyday world. Recently, our mom sent us this photo of a deer. It had been munching on leaves in my parents' garden, and she managed to get a pretty close shot before the buck ran away. As I drew, I started imagining this phrase decorating the deer's antlers. The beauty is always here. Pay attention. Observe it, and let yourself be astonished.
