Sourced it from a great, family-run producer in Lodi, where winemakers have quietly started making some of the state’s best wines (vinepair.com). The Lodi fruit alone would have produced a perfectly lovely wine, but the winemaking team chose to blend in some premium Chardonnay from Sonoma’s Russian River Valley (arguably the finest region for growing Chardonnay in California). The result? An exceptional Chardonnay with superb balance, a lovely creamy texture plus subtle vanilla oak and spice notes to complement the vibrant, orchard-fruit flavors.
