Liminality by Petr Shevchenko

As part of its ongoing collaboration with Domus Art Gallery, Okupa presents Liminality, the fourth exhibition in its rotating series of contemporary art activations. Featuring new paintings and sculptures by Petr Shevchenko, Liminality explores the space between recognition and uncertainty. Using symmetry and repetition, Shevchenko creates forms that reference the body, plants and architecture without fitting neatly into any one category. The exhibition looks at how we recognise and interpret what we see. Starting at Okupa, Petr Shevchenko will accompany guests on the short walk to his studio. There, he will introduce his practice, discuss how his work has evolved over the years and share insights into his paintings, sculptures and creative process.
