S/M | 1930s/40s Black Wool Sweater with Crochet Lace Collar

Late 1930s to early 1940s black wool knit sweater with a decorative crochet lace insert across the upper front and shoulders, extending into a scalloped stand-up collar. It has slightly puffed shoulders, bracelet-length batwing sleeves and a short, fitted waist. Wide ribbed knit bands finish the lower sleeves and hem. A short metal zipper at the centre back fastens the neckline. Made from fine wool tricot with a little stretch. Labelled Pfeiffer. Measurements: • Bust: 98–110 cm / 38½–43¼” stretched • Waist: 76–84 cm / 30–33” stretched • Hem: 60–80 cm / 23½–31½” stretched • Sleeve from neck: 45 cm / 17¾” including cuff • Upper arm circumference: 38–54 cm / 15–21¼” stretched • Cuff: 18–24 cm / 7–9½” stretched • Length: 47 cm / 18½” Size is S/M. In good vintage condition.
