Trebbiolo

Trebbiolo is a young, easy-going expression of a classic Piacenza red blend, made from Barbera and Croatina. The grapes come from younger vines and valley-floor vineyards, giving the wine a fresh and direct character rather than a heavy style. It is made with organic farming and a simple cellar approach: fermentation starts with native yeasts, and the wine is aged in steel and cement. Around 20 days of contact with the skins gives it enough structure while keeping the fruit lively. Expect aromas of small dark berries, blackberry, wild herbs and a light earthy note. On the palate it is juicy and dry, with fresh acidity, soft tannins and a clean finish. It works well with everyday food such as pizza, pasta with meat sauce, grilled vegetables or cured meats.
