National / Commercial Underfloor Entrance (Ventilated)

A specialised beehive floor that moves the entry point underneath the frames rather than at the front. These underfloor-type entrances are perfect for Shelter on the landing board. Dry entrance, as driving rain cannot seep into the hive Wasps & predator bees find the entrance difficult to negotiate, and similarly the bees in the hive find it easier to defend. Helps defend against Mice and other vermin gaining entry. Made from European Redwood and fitted with a correx tray and galvanised ventilated varroa mesh.
