Post Carbon Filter 100% coconut -Water Purifier
Post Carbon Filter made from 100% coconut-shell activated carbon is mainly used as the final polishing stage in a drinking-water purification system, especially after an RO system. What it does The coconut-shell carbon is highly porous. As water passes through it, certain dissolved substances are adsorbed onto the carbon, rather than simply being physically filtered out. It is particularly useful for: Reducing chlorine and chlorine taste Reducing unpleasant odours Improving the taste of drinking water Reducing certain organic compounds and VOCs Giving RO water a cleaner, fresher taste before it reaches the drinking tap Why 100% coconut carbon? Coconut-shell carbon tends to have a high proportion of micropores, which makes it particularly effective for smaller molecules such as chlorine-related compounds, taste and odour compounds and certain organic contaminants. It also tends to produce relatively little dust compared with some other carbon types. What it does NOT do This is important if you're selling or recommending it to customers: A post-carbon filter is not a complete water purifier by itself. It generally does not remove: TDS/dissolved salts Water hardness/limescale Nitrates Most microorganisms All heavy metals Fluoride Those require other filtration technologies depending on the contaminant—for example, RO, UV or specialised media. Why is it called a "post-carbon" filter? In an RO system, the water may first pass through sediment and carbon filters, then the RO membrane, and finally through a post-carbon filter. The post-carbon stage essentially polishes the water after the RO process, particularly improving the final taste and smell.
