Dalia

Original painting, Dubai, UAE Dalia is a beautiful contradiction. A little dark, a little romantic, with just enough colour to keep things interesting. There's a richness to this painting that I love. Deep violet and midnight blue sit alongside dusty pink, burnt orange and unexpected flashes of white. Fine, wandering lines cross over heavier brushstrokes, creating a composition that feels both layered and loose. I started this piece without a clear idea of where it would end up. Some marks stayed, others disappeared beneath new layers, and a few of my favourite details happened entirely by accident. What I love most about Dalia is that it doesn't reveal everything at once. Depending on the light and where you're standing, different colours and details come forward. It's bold without being loud, a little unconventional, and proof that sometimes the best things happen when you stop trying to control the outcome.
