Mondrian Bench

A long, low line — and a cloth to carry it. The Mondrian is the horizontal piece of Atelier. Two square legs, a rolled top edge, no visible frame — just cloth over a long, low line, with nothing to interrupt the pattern as it runs the full length. At 62 inches it holds the front of a bed or the length of an entry hall without crowding either. The 17.5 inch seat sits at a natural height to pull on a shoe or set down a tray, and it's shallow enough at 18 inches deep to live in a hallway where a chair would be in the way. This first release is finished in DARK Cacao Ikat — warm browns feathering into cream, with the softened edges only ikat gives you, handwoven by our artisans.
