Seki Bunsen, "Bunsen Gafu"

Seki Bunsen was a well-known artist in the Osaka/Kyoto area who studied painting and produced woodblock prints. This "Bunsen Gafu" is a collection of the artist's drawings and showcase his range as a classic painter of Japanese forms. The subject matter is diverse, spanning landscape, birds and flowers, and mythological figures. This collection Bunsen gafu is the second volume of two, the first of which was produced in 1848.
