The Velatura Black sets a disc of natural alabaster in a dark curved surround, 53.3 cm (21") wide and 12.7 cm (5") deep, on a 30.5 cm (12") canopy. The dark frame pushes the stone forward, so the veining reads as the lit part of the ceiling. The alabaster Natural stone, so veining, colour and translucency differ on every piece. Where it belongs It works hardest against pale plaster or white ceilings, in a bedroom, hallway or entrance, where the contrast does the work. It also suits a darker scheme with timber and bronze. Lamping and installation Warm white at 2700K. Hardwired flush to the ceiling, indoor use. Bulb : 5 x E26/27 Made to order Stone selection and finish can be specified before production, and dimming is available on request. The same design is made in brass and silver.
