Kennametal BVI Straight Insert - Wide Blast Pattern

The Kennametal BVI is a straight boron carbide insert with an outside diameter of 22 mm (7/8"), designed for blast guns and holders that use this insert format. The special bore produces a wider blast pattern than a standard straight insert, allowing a larger surface area to be covered with each pass. The BVI is made from boron carbide and therefore provides excellent wear resistance when used with aggressive abrasives such as aluminium oxide and selected mineral abrasives. Under these conditions, boron carbide can typically last five to ten times longer than tungsten carbide. With bore sizes from #4 to #8, the BVI is suitable for different blasting capacities. The outside diameter is 22 mm on all versions. The overall length is approximately 71 mm.
