What is the RDL RU-TPS4A?The RDL RU-TPS4A is a Format-A twisted pair sender and distributor that puts three balanced line-level sources onto four RJ45 outputs. Front-panel gain trimmers and dual-LED VU meters set the level of each Format-A audio pair. The module powers every connected receiver and mounts three per rack unit in the MAX RACK-UP chassis.How does it work?Three line-level sources connect to the RU-TPS4A on a +4 dBu balanced detachable terminal block. Studio-quality buffer amplifiers feed the three pairs of the four rear-panel RJ45 OUTPUT jacks at the correct operating level. A GAIN trimmer next to each VU meter adjusts its input from -4 dB to +18 dB. The module runs from 24 Vdc through either power jack or the terminal block, and that power is fed to all modules on the output jacks. Each OUTPUT jack is protected by an automatically resetting fuse, with a rear LED for each jack to help find wiring faults. For more than four outputs, mount one or more RDL RU-TPDA distributors beside it and link power with the included jumper cable. Format-A receivers such as the RDL D-TPR1A or D-TPR3A recover the audio at each location. Rack mounting uses RDL RACK-UP accessories such as the RDL RC-1UR.What are the key features?
