Ivy Kids Kit - Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf

This kit is inspired by the beautifully illustrated book Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf by Lois Ehlert, a vibrant story that follows the growth of a maple tree from seed to sapling through the changing seasons. Along the way, children will learn about how trees grow, the parts of a tree, and the important role trees play in providing food, shelter, and clean air for our environment. Packed with over 12 hands-on activities, this kit encourages children to explore science, math, literacy, art, and engineering through fun, play-based learning. Some of the exciting activities children will explore this month include: Creating a glowing leaf lantern Investigating leaves and their unique characteristics Learning how seeds move and spread using real maple seeds and a spinner Building a bird and squirrel feeder Making sun prints with items collected from nature Constructing a globe craft with falling leaves Exploring sunlight with a suncatcher project Playing fun literacy and math games inspired by the story PLUS SO MUCH MORE Everything children need to read, play, create, and learn is included! This kit is packed with endless fun! The style and/or colors of certain items may vary.
