Across Toscana - A Winemaker's dinner

Join us for an evening celebrating the wines and winemaking traditions of Tuscany, right here in Toronto. In collaboration with our friends from Cavinona, we are bringing together four exceptional Tuscan producers: Le Bèrne, Istine, Castello Tricerchi and Amantis, for a special winemaker’s dinner exploring the character and diversity of the region. Enjoy a menu specially curated by Chef Giacomo Pasquini, with each course thoughtfully paired with each of the producers. Set within the unique surroundings of STOCK Grocer, it is an opportunity to discover the stories, people and wines behind some of Tuscany’s most distinctive bottles. Amuse-Bouche Panino with Finocchiona Salami & Pecorino Cheese Wine pairing: Istine Rosato Fresh and bright, balancing the richness of the salami and cheese. 2. Appetizer Chicken Liver Pâté Crostini with Vincotto Wine pairing: Le Berne Rosso di Montepulciano Bright acidity cuts through the richness of the pâté, while fresh red fruit notes complement the vincotto. 3. Pasta Course Pici Pasta with Wild Boar Ragù, Rosemary Oil & Pecorino Toscano Wine pairing: Castello Tricerchi Brunello di Montalcino Savory notes complement the wild boar, while bright acidity balances the richness of the Ragù. 4. Main Course Florentine-Style T-Bone Steak, served to share, with Roasted Potatoes, Kale & Swiss Chard Stew Wine pairing: Amantis Brunello di Montalcino Rich and structured, with firm tannins that complement the steak and enhance its savory flavors. 5. Dessert Castagnaccio - Tuscan Chestnut Cake with Whipped Mascarpone Wine pairing: Istine Vermouth di Radda Sweet, herbal and bittersweet notes complement the cake’s earthy, nutty flavors and creamy mascarpone.
