Kintsugi Cup "Shushinjaku" 03
Kintsugi Cup "Shushinjaku" 03 brings together scarlet, metallic luster, and the delicate texture of lacquer in a small but highly expressive kintsugi work. The vessel is intentionally broken after firing, and its fragments are separately transformed before being reunited so that their differences remain visible within the whole. An aquamarine-inspired element introduces the symbolism of healing, purification, tranquility, and emotional renewal. Created through Taku Nakano’s original Okunodoi Method, the piece embodies his belief that brokenness can become the starting point for a deeper and more individual form of beauty.
