A fine group of 12 vintage printed silk flag cards, issued by B.D.V. Cigarettes from the famous 25th Series, produced in the early 20th century. Each card is beautifully printed on woven silk with bright, crisp colours. This set includes: • 🇲🇲 Burma — No.31 (peacock design — very desirable) • 🇳🇱 Dutch East Indies — No.100 • 🇮🇹 Sicily — No.97 (uncommon regional flag) • 🇷🇸 Servia (Serbia) — No.98 • 🇬🇧 Union Jack — No.104 • 🇸🇪 Sweden — No.103 • 🇵🇹 Republic of Portugal — No.102 • 🏴 Sweden Royal Standard — No.101 • 🏙️ Dublin — No.105 (city flag — scarcer) • 🇹🇭 Siam Merchant Flag — No.106 (elephant design — highly collectable) • 🇵🇱 Poland — No.107 • 🇦🇺 Australia Commonwealth — No.108 Condition: Silks are bright and crisp. Minor edge fraying and light age toning consistent with age. Sweden has a couple of tiny ink spots; Dutch East Indies has a small corner crease — otherwise very good. Most in protective sleeves. Highlights: The Burma and Siam Merchant Flag are the standout scarcer cards here — both turn up far less often than the European flags and are eagerly sought. Sicily and Dublin are also nice harder-to-find issues.
