Hike, Plunge & Sauna

Hike, Plunge & Sauna Movement, Cold & Wood-Fired Heat Hike, Plunge & Sauna combines three of the most powerful tools in nature-based longevity practice: hiking, cold water immersion and wood-fired sauna. Delivered in partnership with Löyly & Jää, this session takes you through the full arc of hormetic stress and recovery — movement, cold, then heat — across some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Dales. We'll start with a 60 minute hike at an appropriate pace for all abilities, each participant carrying a pack suited to their current fitness level. The light, fresh air and natural terrain help reset your circadian rhythm while building functional strength. Then comes the cold plunge which triggers beneficial hormonal responses, strengthens immune function and creates that distinct sense of mental clarity that only cold water can provide. We complete the session with a relaxing sauna — expanding blood vessels, easing muscle recovery and settling the nervous system after the cold. This heat-cold cycle is one of the more reliable tools for building long-term resilience, and repeated over time, it's a genuine contributor to a stronger, more robust healthspan. Together, these three elements offer a full-spectrum restoration. The trek builds strength and regulates your body clock. The plunge reduces inflammation and sharpens mood. The sauna eases recovery and deepens relaxation. You'll leave feeling grounded, recovered and genuinely restored.
