Aristolochia salvadorensis

Bring a touch of the extraordinary to your plant collection with Aristolochia salvadorensis, one of the most unusual flowering plants in the world. Affectionately known as the Darth Vader Flower, this fascinating tropical species produces striking, helmet-shaped blooms that resemble the iconic Star Wars villain. Native to the tropical forests of Central America, Aristolochia salvadorensis is prized for its remarkable flowers, featuring deep burgundy to nearly black coloration, intricate pale markings, and an otherworldly appearance. Unlike many of its climbing relatives, this species develops a woody, shrub-like growth habit, making it a distinctive addition to tropical gardens and specialty plant collections.
