These new varieties are being prepared for UK customers who enjoy growing individual and less commonly offered roses. Where to plant Rose Avalanche Its Hybrid Tea classification makes it a candidate for traditional rose beds and cutting gardens, provided that the plant's eventual habit suits the space. Choose a position with fertile, free-draining soil and sufficient light for healthy growth. Avoid locations where the roots remain waterlogged and provide airflow around foliage. Allow enough space for the plant to reach its mature size once the height and spread have been confirmed. If planting among perennials, consider combinations that set off the flower colour without overcrowding the rose. Planting and caring for your bare-root rose After delivery: Unpack promptly and keep roots from drying out until planting. Planting: Soak roots if required by the supplied planting instructions, then spread them naturally in a prepared planting hole. Soil: Use fertile soil that drains well; do not plant into frozen or waterlogged ground. Watering: Water well after planting and during extended dry periods, particularly while establishing. Feeding: Apply a suitable rose fertiliser during the growing season following its label. Pruning: Prune in the season appropriate to the confirmed rose type; most repeat-flowering modern bush roses are pruned in late winter or early spring. Garden hygiene: Remove damaged material and provide good air circulation. What will you receive? This draft is prepared for a two-year-old dormant bare-root rose plant.
