Framola™ Custom-Size Post Base Bracket for Pergolas, Fences and Timber Structures Build around your timber with a post base bracket made to your chosen custom size. This custom bracket provides a strong fixing point for upright timber posts used in pergolas, fencing, carports, garden structures and other outdoor projects. Enter the actual width and thickness of your timber, along with the height you would like the bracket to be. We will use these details to make the bracket fit your post. You do not need to work out the finished outside size of the bracket. The bracket can be fixed to concrete, brick or another solid surface with suitable masonry bolts. The timber then slots inside and is secured through the side holes with wood screws. Each bracket has a planned hole layout to help stop screws from meeting inside the timber. On one pair of opposing sides, one face has a single central hole, while the opposite face has two vertically spaced holes. On the other pair of sides, the holes are placed in a diagonal layout. The pattern is reversed on the opposite face. This spreads the fixings around the post and reduces the risk of screw clashes. The exact number and position of the holes may change to suit the chosen bracket size. All side holes are 7.5mm in diameter. The base will have four or five 10mm fixing holes, based on the size selected. Made in the UK from heavy-duty galvanised steel, each bracket is suitable for outdoor use. Choose Galvanised Steel, Textured Black or a Custom Colour. Custom brackets will not include the Framola logo. How to Order Your Custom Post Base Bracket Enter the following measurements in whole millimetres: Wood width - Measure the actual width of your timber Wood thickness - Measure the actual thickness of your timber Bracket height - Choose how far you want the bracket to extend up the post The available sizes are: Wood width: 50mm to 300mm Wood thickness: 50mm to 300mm Bracket height: 30mm to 200mm The bracket height must be lower than both the wood width and the wood thickness. Please measure the timber itself rather than an old bracket. Timber sizes can differ from their stated or nominal size, so we advise checking it with a tape measure before ordering. Fixing the Bracket The 7.5mm side holes are suitable for fixing the bracket to the timber with strong wood screws. Our Framola Timber Pergola Installation Screws are a suitable choice. The base has 10mm holes for fixing to concrete, brick or another solid surface. We recommend suitable Hex-Head Masonry Bolts. The right fixing will depend on the surface and the size of your structure. Screws and masonry fixings are not supplied unless added separately.
