JHS Effect Pedals - Wanderer
The JHS Wanderer takes their venerable NOTAKLÖN and Morning Glory v4 and puts them both in one compact enclosure with some unique routing features. As a recap, the Morning Glory is Josh's take on the Marshall Bluesbreaker circuit delivering a transparent and delicious drive that cleans up nicely, but can certainly get some dirt when pushed. The gain switch allows for even more, turning it into a pseudo-distortion when pushed with some humbuckers. The NOTAKLÖN hails from the original design of its namesake, a mythical overdrive with a mid-forward voice that sounds righteous. The +/- switch is JHS' "shamrock" mod which adds +4dB of gain and pushes the mids forward even more for a boost. This is JHS' first pedal with a vertical two-in-one format, featuring individual top-mounted input/output jacks for each side. This allows you to put pedals in between each side in any order you wish. If you use the far right side input and the far left side output, then both will be activated and you can choose which is first via the center toggle switch. The side "red remote" jacks allow for each to go out to JHS' red remote (sold separately) to toggle each one's gain stages. Any latching amp-style footswitch works, and if you run a switcher with amp-control outputs, it can flip both from a preset — no Red Remote needed. A dual-side overdrive with expansive capabilities and tone for days, this is one of JHS' most comprehensive offerings yet. LEFT SIDE — NOTAKLÖN Volume, Gain, & Treble Controls +/- Toggle — "Shamrock Mod." Increases the overall gain by +4 dB, increases midrange, and engages an additional stage of hard clipping. RIGHT SIDE — MORNING GLORY V4 Volume, Drive, and Tone Controls Gain Toggle - High Gain mode, indicated by Red LED Bright Cut Switch located on right side of pedal that cuts highest frequencies Center order toggle allows you to select which effect comes first in the signal chain for different tones when stacking both sides. The toggle points toward whichever effect is first in the chain. The Order toggle has no effect when using the individual FX jacks. JACKS Main Input / Output — Use the far right input and far left output when using the Wanderer as a standard two-in-one pedal. Use each side's input/outputs for independent routing Red Remote jacks allow for toggling each side's respective gain modes (most latch-style footswitches will work) Buffered Bypass Size: 4.7” X 3.5” X 1.5” 9VDC Center Negative, 165mA
