Betty Boop as Marilyn Monroe

Betty Boop as Marilyn Monroe Statue This statue featuring Betty Boop was sculpted by Peter Mook under license from King Features and produced by Rutten. It was released in 2002 and is crafted from resin. The piece remains in good condition. Betty Boop — one of the most recognizable female characters in classic American animation, presented here in a tribute to another Hollywood icon. Wearing Marilyn Monroe’s unmistakable white halter dress, Betty recreates the famous moment when a gust of air lifts the skirt around her. Her oversized green eyes, curled black hair, delicate jewelry and modest pose bring Betty’s own personality to the scene, combining two distinct eras of American popular culture in a single sculpture.
