About the Woodsrunner The Woodsrunner is our most approachable longrifle, and the one we point first-time builders and gift-givers to. It is light, easy to carry, and a friendly first build, patterned after an original frontier rifle believed to have been made in Virginia in the 1760s. This one has Ribbon Relief carving added, done on our CNC machine. Decoration was a normal part of most longrifles of this period, and relief carving was the norm rather than the exception.
