Chinese Fountain Bamboo ‘Formidable’ (Fargesia Robusta ‘Formidable’)

Fargesia robusta ‘Formidable’, also known as Fountain Bamboo, is a tall, elegant and non-invasive clumping bamboo, ideal for creating dense evergreen screens, privacy hedges and attractive garden features. It produces upright green canes with distinctive pale sheaths and abundant medium-green foliage, creating a lush, architectural appearance all year round. Growing to around 4 m tall, ‘Formidable’ is a vigorous bamboo that forms a dense, upright clump without the spreading habit of running bamboo. It thrives in full sun or partial shade and prefers moist, well-drained soil. Hardy and easy to maintain, it is an excellent choice for privacy screening, hedging, windbreaks, borders and contemporary gardens.
