At 38 inches it is 10 inches wider than the One-Arm Chair, wide enough to sit sideways in. Craftsman-built frame of kiln-dried hardwood, primarily solid alder, corner-blocked and reinforced with glue, staples and screws, so the curve stays true. Arched 8.5-gauge sinuous springs with double tie-wires deliver quiet, no-sag support in every seat. Seat and back cushions wrap a high-density foam core in a feather-locked envelope of Trillium gel-blown fiber: the softness of down, hypoallergenic and feather-free, so they soften in without going flat. Left or Right Arm Facing is named as you face the piece: Left Arm Facing puts the arm on your left and the open side on your right. Joins with any Mercer armless piece, corner or wedge.
