The Women’s Topo Terraventure 5 GTX brings the Topo fit together with a 3mm drop, protective rock plate and Vibram® Megagrip outsole. For hikers and trail runners looking to tackle rocky, muddy, wet and variable terrain the 5mm lugs will provide any user the opportunity to succeed. Unlike other lower drop/wide forefoot competitors we have found the Topo Terraventure to be extremely durable. A lightweight mesh upper provides breathability for the feet in hot and humid conditions while being durable in rocky terrain. Technologies GORET-TEX GORE-TEX® waterproof protection helps keep feet dry and comfortable through rain, mud, and wet conditions, while the cushioned platform delivers a stable and supportive ride over varied terrain. A durable Vibram® outsole provides dependable grip on everything from dry rock to slick, wet trails, and a protective rock plate helps shield your feet from rocks and roots on technical terrain. Vibram® Megagrip Outsole Vibram® created this rubber compound to perform in extreme conditions and that’s why Topo Athletic placed it on to their Women’s Terraventure 5. This compound formed into a 5mm lug pattern means that the nastiest wet and slick terrain can be handled with confidence. The tread is spaced in a manner that allows debris to escape as opposed to accumulating on the outsole. ESS Rock Plate A flexible rock plate made from hardened EVA allows runners and hikers to receive information from the ground such as loose rocks and slick roots without receiving painful bites from rocky terrain. At 22mm of stack height the rock plate allows runners and hikers to tackle the most rocky terrain while saving their feet.
