Five-stage ultrafiltration and limescale reduction High-flow drinking water filtration without a tank or electricity The Hommix Ultra UF combines sediment filtration, activated carbon, softening resin, an ultrafiltration membrane and post-carbon polishing in one compact under-sink system. It improves taste and odour, reduces a broad range of contaminants and helps limit limescale while retaining a strong flow rate. Compact dual-cartridge system Five filtration stages in a slim under-sink design The Ultra UF uses two quick-change cartridges containing five complementary treatment stages. It connects directly to the cold water supply and operates without a storage tank, pump, drain connection or electrical socket. Five-stage filtration and softening media Rated flow up to 5 litres per minute at 4 bar Rated capacity of approximately 5,000 litres Quick-release, tool-free cartridge changes Four connection options to suit different kitchens 5 Filtration stages Progressive treatment from sediment removal to final carbon polishing. 5L High rated flow Up to 5 litres per minute at 0.4 MPa inlet pressure. 5K Rated capacity Approximately 5,000 litres, depending on water quality and use. 0W No electricity No pump, plug, storage tank or wastewater connection required. Progressive water treatment How the five-stage filtration process works 01Sediment filtration Captures sand, rust and other visible suspended particles from the incoming cold water. 02Pre-carbon treatment Activated carbon reduces chlorine, unpleasant tastes, odours and many organic compounds. 03Softening resin Helps reduce water hardness and limescale at the drinking water outlet. 04UF membrane Ultrafiltration provides a physical barrier for fine particles, microplastics, bacteria and protozoa. 05Post-carbon polishing Final carbon treatment improves the finished water's taste and odour before dispensing. Clear, responsible performance claims Strong reduction for common drinking water concerns Hommix describes strong reduction of sediment, microplastics, bacteria, protozoa, chlorine, taste and odour compounds and many organic chemicals. Performance depends on incoming water quality, pressure, flow and timely cartridge replacement. StrongParticulate reduction Targets sediment, rust, sand and microplastics. StrongMicroorganism reduction The UF stage targets bacteria and protozoa in municipally supplied water. StrongTaste and odour Pre-carbon and post-carbon media reduce chlorine and unwanted flavours. VariableViruses and PFAS Hommix describes reduction as partial or variable rather than complete removal. VariableHeavy metals Reduction varies with the specific contaminant and operating conditions. HelpsLimescale reduction Softening resin helps reduce hardness but does not replace a whole-house softener. Choose your connection Four options for different kitchen layouts Select the correct product variant before ordering. The fittings supplied depend on whether you choose a dedicated drinking water tap, a three-way tap connection or an inline connection to your existing kitchen tap. Chrome drinking water tap Includes a separate chrome filtered-water tap. A new 10-12 mm hole is normally required in the sink or worktop. Brushed steel drinking water tap Includes a separate brushed steel filtered-water tap and the standard connection fittings. Three-way tap connection Includes the parts required to connect to a compatible Hommix three-way tap. The kitchen tap itself is not included. Existing kitchen tap connection Installs inline on the cold supply so filtered cold water is dispensed through the existing kitchen mixer tap. Standard installation Separate drinking water tap A feed valve diverts cold mains water to the filter. The outlet connects to the supplied drinking water tap, keeping filtered water separate from normal hot and cold water. Three-way tap connection No additional tap hole The filtered outlet connects to the separate filtered-water channel of a compatible three-way tap. Select this variant only when a suitable tap is already installed or being purchased separately. Existing kitchen tap connection Filtered cold water through your mixer The filter is installed inline between the cold isolation valve and the existing tap hose. All cold water from the mixer is filtered, while the hot supply remains unchanged. ✓ Important suitability guidance For treated municipal cold water The Ultra UF is designed for municipally supplied tap water. It should not be relied on as the sole treatment for untreated, microbiologically unsafe or unknown-quality water. The softening stage helps reduce limescale at the drinking outlet but is not a substitute for a whole-house water softener. Download Installation Manual Simple filter maintenance Quick-release cartridges with no specialist tools 01Isolate the water Close the feed valve and open the tap to release pressure before removing either cartridge. 02Release the cartridge Support the cartridge and press the red release button on the filter head. 03Fit and flush Push the replacement upward until secure, restore the supply and flush for 10-15 minutes. Recommended replacement interval Replace both cartridges every 6-12 months. Earlier replacement may be needed if flow falls or the water's taste changes. Actual life depends on incoming water quality and consumption. Shop Hommix Products Helpful answers Frequently asked questions Is the Hommix Ultra UF a reverse osmosis system? No. It uses ultrafiltration, carbon media and softening resin. It does not use an RO membrane, storage tank, booster pump or wastewater connection. Does it completely soften the water? No. The integrated resin helps reduce hardness and limescale in the filtered drinking water. Its capacity depends on local hardness and usage, and it does not replace a correctly sized whole-house water softener. Which tap option should I choose?Choose Chrome Tap or Brushed Tap for a separate drinking water tap. Choose the Three-Way Tap option when connecting to a compatible three-way tap already installed or purchased separately. Choose Existing Kitchen Tap Connection when you want all cold water from the existing mixer to pass through the filter. Does the three-way tap option include a tap?No. That variant includes the filter and connection parts required for a compatible three-way tap, but the tap itself is not included. What is the rated flow rate? The manual lists a rated flow of up to 5 litres per minute at an inlet pressure of 0.4 MPa / 4 bar. Actual flow depends on pressure, plumbing, cartridge condition and water quality. How often should the filters be changed? The manufacturer recommends replacement every 6-12 months. Replace sooner if the flow rate drops noticeably or if taste and odour return. Can I install it myself?A competent DIY installer may be able to fit the system, but water connections must be secure and checked carefully for leaks. Use a qualified plumber if you are not confident working with the cold water supply or drilling the sink or worktop. Friendly expert support Need help choosing the correct connection option?
