Auberge Cleremont Franschhoek
The history is particularly interesting. The original farm was granted to Abraham de Villiers, a French Huguenot refugee, in 1694. It was initially named Champagne and later renamed Clermont. Today, it remains a working farm with vineyards, plum orchards and olive groves. Its historic farmhouse dates back to 1862. The property is also home to the Franschhoek Olive Oil Company, which produces award-winning extra virgin olive oil from olives grown in the valley.
