Some things shouldn't be rushed, and this is one of them: our Christmas Edition 2026, a 10-year-old single malt Scotch whisky matured a full decade in Oloroso sherry casks. Full grown, in other words. The Holly and The Ivy is this year's Wolfburn Christmas whisky, a limited edition drawn from our 10 Year Old, the whisky that marked our first ever age statement. Every drop spent ten years in hand-selected second-fill Oloroso sherry butts, maturing slowly in our warehouses by the sea in Thurso. No shortcuts, just time. A full decade in Spanish sherry oak, and it shows: rich dried fruit, dark chocolate and gentle spice, bottled at 46%, non-chill filtered and naturally coloured. As a festive gift, The Holly and The Ivy does the hard work for you. As a dram for yourself on Christmas Eve, it does even better. Of all the drams that are in the wood, this one wears the crown On the nose Soft sherry sweetness melds with figs and raisins. There's a lovely hint of vanilla and oak present too. On the palate The depth of flavour is tremendous. Bold chocolate and dark fruit flavours abound, with overtones of caramel and vanilla, all accompanied by gentle hints of nutmeg and oak smoke. Finish Silky tannins make for a beautifully textured finish; there's a residual sweetness with dried fruit and caramel flavours lingering to the very end.
