Hosta 'Candy Kisses' | Glossy Green Leaves with Heavy Ripples

Glossy ripples with a hidden flash of white Hosta 'Candy Kisses' spreads its shiny green leaves nearly horizontally, letting deeply rippled edges reveal their white-waxy undersides. Bob Solberg developed this seedling using 'Candy Dish' and a pollen line combining pycnophylla, 'Harvest Dandy' and 'Raspberry Sorbet'. Dusty purple petioles add a quiet colour accent beneath the rounded foliage. Lavender flowers carry purple brush strokes near their bases. Tuck this mounding hosta beside a shaded path where its leaf edges can catch your eye. Ripples that reveal: Heavy waves along the leaf margins expose the pale, waxy underside, giving the green mound a lively contrast. A polished finish: Broadly ovate leaves shine above the dusty purple petioles, bringing texture and sheen to a shaded planting. Lavender with extra detail: Tubular flowers show lavender striping and purple brush strokes near their bases, while reddish scape bracts carry purple margins.
