i keep remembering – i keep remembering. my heart has no pity on me is a work by Jewell Dalina inspired by a line from Henri Barbusse. Rather than presenting grief as a single event, Dalina approaches it as accumulation and repetition that alters perception over time. Within Dalina’s practice, the piece functions as an invitation to sit with discomfort and recognition. The viewer is not offered escape but instead the possibility of facing emotion directly and observing how it changes while still remaining present.
