Matured exclusively in first-fill European oak casks, this rich, full-flavoured release brings together dark fruit, warming spice, and sticky sweetness, bottled at 59.2% ABV. Only 3,300 bottles are available Some traditions are simply too good to hurry away. During the 1960s and early 1970s, Glengoyne’s distillery workers received three drams each working day. For some of the younger employees, that was rather more whisky than the day allowed. Their untouched drams found their way into a copper teapot on the canteen windowsill, ready for their more seasoned colleagues to enjoy. The practice came to an end in 1974, but its spirit lives on in every release of Teapot Dram. Batch No. 12 captures the bold, full-flavoured character of those dramming days. Matured exclusively in first-fill European oak casks, it opens with toasted marshmallow, cinnamon and toffee popcorn before giving way to bright berries, baked apples and rich sherry notes.
