Honu Aumakua – Extra Large

An Original Painting by Wyland and Walfrido In an extraordinary collaboration, internationally acclaimed marine life artist and conservationist Wyland joins celebrated artist Walfrido to capture the breathtaking natural beauty of Hawaii’s legendary Waimea Bay on the North Shore of Oahu. This remarkable original painting presents two magnificent worlds in one unforgettable composition. Above the ocean, a spectacular Hawaiian sunset sets the sky ablaze with brilliant crimson, fiery orange, golden yellow, and deep violet, illuminating the lush tropical coastline. Beneath the shimmering surface, an entirely different paradise comes alive as a graceful Hawaiian green sea turtle glides effortlessly over a vibrant coral reef, accompanied by authentic Hawaiian reef fish swimming through crystal-clear turquoise waters. What makes this exceptional work of art even more extraordinary is that the original is painted on beautiful Hawaiian koa wood, one of the islands’ most treasured and distinctive natural hardwoods. The rich, organic character of the koa wood adds another dimension of warmth, texture, and authenticity, connecting the artwork to the very land and ocean it celebrates. Combining Wyland’s lifelong passion for marine life and ocean conservation with Walfrido’s extraordinary ability to capture the romance, atmosphere, and brilliant colors of the Hawaiian Islands, this one-of-a-kind masterpiece is more than a painting. It is a celebration of Hawaii’s natural wonders, where land, sea, and sky come together in perfect harmony—a timeless tribute to the beauty, spirit, and living treasures of the two worlds of Waimea Bay.
