STILL SPIRITS VORTEX AIR COOOLED CONDENSER
VORTEX Air Cooled Condenser This product is made to fit on your existing T500 Condenser or with a Multi-Tube Condenser (Shotgun Condenser). If you keep your T500 Pro or multi-tube condenser, you can add a single Vortex module to reduce your cooling water usage by at least 50%. If your standard T500 has the Create+ setup with a 2" Tri-Clamp connection at the base and top, it is fully compatible out of the box. To go 100% Waterless: You will need two Vortex units (one to replace the internal reflux water coil/dephlegmator and one to replace the product condenser) along with the Vortex Reflux Equipment Kit. Hybrid Setup: Alternatively, you can use this single Vortex unit to handle the main refluxing work while letting a reduced flow of water do the final product cooling. If your T500 column is the older style that screws together with brass threads instead of clamps, the Vortex cannot attach directly. The Original Threaded T500 (Older Model). You can still use it, but you must purchase the Still Spirits Create+ Threaded Adapter Set. This will convert your older threaded column and boiler lid into standard 2" Tri-Clamp connections. Where innovation meets flexibility – VORTEX is a groundbreaking air-cooled condenser that allows you to operate anywhere without the constraints of cooling water, saving hundreds of litres of water per run. The VORTEX Air Cooled condenser utilises forced air to dissipate heat from vapour and liquid and can be used in place of a water-cooled condenser as well as part of a still configuration for stills with 2" tri-clamp compatibility. It integrates seamlessly into any 2” tri-clamp setup or with CREATE+ components. A simple turn of a dial controls fan speed and cooling temperatures instantly and puts precision in your hands at every stage. INSTRUCTIONS: This product can be used in place of a water-cooled condenser as well as part of a still configuration for stills with 2” tri-clamp compatibility. As vapour or liquid move through the two internal tubes of the condenser, the aluminum fins absorb the heat, which is then dispersed by the three integrated air fans. The speed of the fans can be increased or decreased with the control dial to control the heat dissipation rate, like adjusting the water flow of traditional water-cooled condensers. CLEANING AFTER USE: To clean, you can use a household vacuum cleaner to remove dust that may collect in the fan grill and the finned tubes over time. To clean inside the product pathway, conduct a distillation run of equal parts white vinegar and drinking water. CAUTION: Metal fins can have sharp edges. Use care when handling, assembling, cleaning, or storing this unit, and avoid running fingers along the fin surface. DISCLAIMER: Please note that in certain countries alcohol distillation and the possession of distilling equipment is illegal and permits/licenses may be required. For guidance or advice, contact your relevant local authorities. How to integrate into your existing setup Connect the VORTEX to any 2" tri-clamp compatible boiler in four steps 1. Choose Your Still Setup Decide how you're distilling - Reflux or Alembic - and replace your water-cooled condenser or dephlegmator with the VORTEX Air Cooled Condenser. 2. Attach to Your Boiler Connect your reflux column or alembic setup to your lid or alembic dome, and then on to your boiler. 3. Power On Turn on your boiler and heat your wash. Just before you hit your target temperature, turn on the VORTEX - no cooling water, no fiddling with water flow. 4. Distill Run your distillation as normal - the VORTEX handles the cooling and condensing.
