Silkegade
Silkegade means Silk Street. A Danish king once set up fourteen workshops here, hoping to make the expensive fabric in Copenhagen rather than import it. The workshops eventually closed, but the name stayed. It’s a small piece of the city’s past behind one of our more understated pairs.
