Brass Candle Holders – Model L98 by Hans-Agne Jakobsson, Sweden (c. 1960s)

A pair of vintage Swedish brass candle holders, model L98, by Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB, Markaryd. The candle holders have a simple, softly rounded form with a warm brass finish and are characteristic of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern design. The candle holders are intended for very slim taper candles, approximately 7–8 mm in diameter, as was typical of this type of mid-century design. A slight adjustment to the candle may be needed for an optimal fit. The candle holders have a substantial weight for their size, approximately 170 g each, and appear to be made of solid brass.
