Slingshot - Colombia

FARM HISTORY Nestled in the heart of Colombia’s Andean region, Caldas forms part of the renowned Coffee Cultural Landscape, where coffee farming is deeply woven into the culture and everyday life of its communities. The region is known for its welcoming, family-oriented coffee farmers and its strong coffee-growing heritage. In the municipality of Palestina, Caldas is also home to what is recognized as one of the world’s largest coffee libraries. This regional coffee comes from the highlands of Palestina, Caldas, at approximately 1,566 meters above sea level. Grown predominantly from the Castillo variety and processed using the washed method, the coffee reflects the characteristic profile of the region, offering a sweet and balanced cup with delicate floral and herbal aromas. Caldas’ combination of high-altitude cultivation, diverse coffee-growing traditions, and careful processing contributes to coffees that express both the character of the region and the dedication of its producers. As a regional coffee, this lot brings together contributions from multiple producers rather than a single farm, representing the collective character of coffee production in Palestina and the wider Caldas region.
