There's a bit of cotton ribbon for structure at the seams and hardly anything else, in order to maximize the breathability. The bill, unlike many caps, has no cardboard or plastic, only interfacing, making this piece easy to handwash and line-dry without affecting it's shape. The long bill is guaranteed to protect your face from the sun on the brightest days.
