Reimagined Plastics - Stormy Weather & Solitude
A dark horse grazes alone under a sky that can’t decide whether to rain. Clouds embroidered with floss originally from the artist’s mother drift over a bright blue sky, and a band of stitched grass runs along the bottom. The horse doesn’t look up. Weather is somebody else’s problem. This one is not abstract, which makes it a nice change of pace in the collection. Made by Karen Randolph from ironed recycled plastic and other salvaged materials, stitched down on a piece of duck cloth originally used for an arbor cover. One of a kind, signed lower right. Finished size: 10.75" x 13.25"
