Fighter pilot takes a moment to celebrate in the open cockpit of his plate after seeing another American pilot attack a Japanese Zero from above and behind causing it to burn and crash. Small Japanese flags attached to his fuselage just below the cockpit show that he has already downed seven Japanese aircraft in the embattled sky above the vast Pacific. During WWII American piston driven fighters burned 100/130 high octane aviation gas known as avgas. Only example of this poster we have seen in over 45 years.
